Workshops
Various workshops can be organised:
A bagpipe workshop is suited for bands or individual pipers. The band/player will be assessed and any basic problems will be worked on. This will cover finger technique and bagpipe maintenance.
A information workshop will cover different types of bagpipes including mouth and bellow blown. Where the bagpipes came from, how they arrived in the British Isles and how they are used in the modern day.
A cultural workshop will cover Highland Bagpipes, Uilleann Pipes, Scottish Smallpipes, Whistles, various types of Drums and traditional dancing. This will also cover where the instruments came from, how they arrived in the British Isles and how they developed. With this workshop the children will learn simple poly-rhythm and get a chance to try the instruments.
All personnel taking part in workshops are Access NI checked.
