Traditionally the Highland Bagpipes were used to stir the emotions, whether it be playing a lively upbeat tune at a Wedding or a slow lament at a Funeral the pipes have there place.
Based in County Antrim, Northern Ireland, Andy McGregor has played the highland bagpipes for over twenty years. He is now a full time musician who makes his living from piping at weddings and funerals, teaching the bagpipes, taking part in piping workshops or playing the Highland Pipes/Uilleann Pipes and Whistles with his group Pure Blarney. Andy is also the current Pipe Major of Cullybackey Pipe Band, from a village just outside Ballymena, who are one of only four Grade One Pipe Bands in Ireland.
As well as solo pipers Andy can also provide Trios, Mini Pipe Bands, and Ensembles.
